Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data Dewey collects, how it's used, and your rights.
1. What we collect
- Telegram chat ID — required to identify and message you
- Twitter/X username (optional) — if you connect Twitter via OAuth, used for interest detection
- Saved URLs and their extracted content — articles, tweets, PDFs, GitHub READMEs you submit
- RSS feeds you subscribe to
- Messages you send the bot
- Payment metadata via Whop — subscription status and membership ID. We do not store your card or bank details; Whop does.
- Usage logs — API call counts, token counts, computed costs, used to enforce spend limits and improve the Service
2. How we use your data
- To deliver the Service — saving content, generating briefs, answering questions
- To personalize your briefs and feed recommendations
- To enforce daily spend limits
- To debug and improve the Service
- To process payments and manage your subscription
3. Third parties
To deliver Dewey, your data passes through these providers. Each has its own privacy practices.
- Anthropic and OpenRouter — LLM-powered responses, scoring, and synthesis
- OpenAI — text embeddings (no chat content sent for retention)
- Qdrant Cloud — storage of your vector embeddings
- Railway — application server and Postgres database hosting

- Whop — payments and subscription management
We don't sell your data. We don't share it for advertising.
4. Data isolation
Your vault, messages, feeds, and brief history are isolated by your Telegram chat ID. Other users cannot access your content.
5. Data retention
Your data persists for as long as you use Dewey. If you cancel and your account remains inactive for an extended period, we may delete it. You can request immediate deletion at any time.
6. Your rights
You can:
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Disconnect your Twitter/X account at any time
- Cancel your subscription through Whop
Email support@4d-studios.com for any of the above.
7. Security
We use HTTPS, database queries scoped by chat ID, and standard infrastructure-level security. We don't store plaintext passwords (we don't use any). No system is 100% secure, however.
8. Cookies
The marketing site (this page and the Dewey landing) doesn't use tracking cookies. Telegram and Whop may set their own cookies when you interact with them.
9. Children's privacy
Dewey is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify you via Telegram and update the "Last updated" date above.
